The Final Homestretch.....

Well, I have 2 more days to finalize everything for the big event...once again, I prefer the word event since I will in no way be racing this thing.  I have been slightly anxious all week....and even the skittles didn't help relieve the jitters.   When I told Coach Ian, he told me to count carpet strands to occupy my time....While this sounded like a fabulous way to spend the next few days, I opted for other distraction methods.  I have sent out emails to my pacers (sorry, guys) all week, made packing lists, and prepared race day plans.  I even copied the plans and placed in a nice plastic cover for Kris to keep on race day.  Hopefully things will go as smoothly as possible.  I will stick to my "file it" method of dealing with things which I cannot control.  Hopefully that file won't get too full!  My iPods (all 3 of them) are full and ready!  So bring it on :)
I even have some mantras to help me through the less that ideal portions of the race.  One involves a new song, so stay tuned :)  Perhaps even some dance moves?????
Going to stick with a 28 hour plan, although I know that this may totally change throughout the day.  The weather should be perfect with highs in the low 60's and lows close to 40.  Yeah :)   I placed my weather order a few weeks back- so I'll take this!
I am looking forward to meeting all the other crazies :)  and to spending some quality time with all my great pacers.  I have heard some rumblings about various entertainment plans- looking forward to some good times!  I plan to have a camera for a few laps!
