It is Pre-Event week...and things are moving along nicely. The Yassos are complete (THANK GOODNESS!) and were a success...although I told Coach Ian I still do not heart that workout. I decided to get them over with on Monday so as to free up my worrying space for other things :) Also, the ice has finally melted so I got to run outside with my running buddy, Tracey, again this week. And, the countdown to Frosty 50k is on...only 4 more days!
And with an event around the corner, Ella has decided to keep with tradition, and has gotten sick. We are staying positive, as she is starting her antibiotic today (PLEASE no C DIFF, please, please, please) and we are hopeful that she doesn't share her germs. She is excited about the event, and is contemplating whether she is going to bring along her pom poms! (hmmm, the pink ones or the purples ones??? such decisions!). She asked me if I was going to win...bless her little heart!
In staying with the "positive" theme, Kris, Ella, and I have decided to make up a January holiday. It will be held on the last Saturday of the month each year. Ella has requested streamers and balloons, and I requested Mama Sue's sheetcake (no big surprise that this was at the top of my list :)!). We will call it Happy, Happy, Joy Day- mostly because Festivus was already taken! Feel free to join in our celebration for January.
Have a fabulous week :)
